I agree many "warriors" have lost themselves to this..It is the blessed ones that continue strong and carry forward with their lives after seeing horrible times like war..

It is no personal experience, but fiction (inspired by facts... so you can better say: "faction"). The poem is one of a series based on true stories of World War I (the Great War).

Amazing poem. I felt like someone punched me in the stomach after I finish reading it. It sounds like a personal experience, I am sorry... so sorry someone had to go through that, but there is treatment, all is not lost and as long as there is life, scarred as it may be, there is hope. Good luck to you and your friend. You are incredibly talented, if dark in your verses. I love your work.
