For me good works is important but would not be much if I did not love the Lord with all my being and practice wholesome ways of living and reduce my sin.  sam

Suck up to God! I truly love that statement. You are right, if the good deeds are done for the good deeds brownie points, they are still good deeds which benefit the receiver but they won't benefit us at all.
