thanks for reading, sira! Obama addressed religion in 2006 in his call to renewal keynote address. The link is in the body of my article. I think all politicians pretty much assume that people already use their moral compass to make their decisions, and then try to weave their campaigns to appeal to the majorities.

Politicans won't change peoples religious beliefs
but I bet religious beliefs will effect the politicans, especially if the voters start using their religious moral compasses to make decisions, or if the Obama's of the world bring religion into the debate.
