May his soul find rest
My Dear Offy,
allow your heart to ache
for death with its arms have arrested someone precious,
Some one Dear,
but it won't be more than you can take

Wow, Sis, you never said a word..............................
Sorry about your friend. I can tell you, that older we get, the more we lose too. I know there's at least half a dozen of my class gone now. This year is our class reunion and I try to make them all so that I get to see people I went to school with. You live close now and you might want to keep an eye out for those reunions. They're every five years now and all classes that attended our schools come to town, quite fun to see everybody.

Love you

Yes, it is sad
when someone we know for a long time passes away. And, we wish we had been in better touch. I always feel this.

You are right, Offy. Often we take friends for granted until it is too late.

Sorry Offy
I am so glad you are back. I am sorry you did not have an opportunity to say something to a friend, but we never think our friends will not be there when we return. God bless you dear sweet woman.

Love you Offy
it's so sad to lose a friend too young isn't it. Almost makes one feel guilty for having more years yet to enjoy. Just remember darlin' that it wasn't just you who didn't keep in touch. Anyway a big hug to you while you're feeling sad with loss.

That is precisely why I track down old friends and tell them the differences they have made in my life, and why I don't like going to sleep angry, and why when I have done something remiss, I do my best to correct it by going over and above, and if not possible, in some cases, the acknowledgment is enough.

Offy, you make a good point...I know I'm guilty of saying
oh, I'll call "so-and-so" one of these days, and then something like this happens and we lose our chance....thanks for the reminder..

Catching up with an old (Young) friend
Offy,
I just read your last seven posts and I am all caught up on your life! Nobody told me that you were regularly posting again. Nobody seems to realize that we are dear and venerable friends. Let's just keep this our own little secret. Then when I go to that great big "Sage Haven" in the sky, HA! HA! Sorry, I just cannot type that with a straight finger.
Whoops! I just remembered your most recent posting. Sorry if that sounded insensitive. It was the first one I read, working backwards. Open mouth, change typing finger! I am probably one of the last of your fans to welcome you back, but that doesn't mean that I mean it any less!

So sorry for your loss... We do tend to think "Oh, next time I'll stop in or give him/her a call". As we get older the adage li
fe is too short rings very true. I had a similar type of friendship in my teens (and he took me to my prom) and I tried to track him down a while back to say hello but had no luck. When we hear - from a distance - that someone who left such an imprint on us has died it resonates with us for days and we are taken back to a time when we laughed and smiled with that person. And no one can take away those cherished memories.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend, sweet one. It's always hardest when we don't really get to say goodbye.
Did you find my story? Don't worry, he knew you love him.

I am sorry for your loss my dear and for sharing with us the wisdom that nothing is worse in the world than to have to say: "Too late!" I truly feel for you.
