Maybe the key is to switch your music....
listen to something that aren't love songs... either loud, upbeat music or something instrumental and calming.

Wow that prose was more poetic than many of the poems I read today.  You are really talented sweetie,  About the music,  is just that, music,  the pain and the sadness is inside you and you have to get it out and get rid of it.  Just as you would do spring cleaning and throw out all the things you don't need, open your heart and look at the stuff you do not want in there anymore.  It can not hurt you if you don't let it.  I know its easier said than done. Believe me I know its hard. But you must :-)

Music touches us at the roots.
Sometimes those roots can be sensitive and burn, I agree.  Music touches too close to home.  Music is our home.

So few words, so many emotions.

Oops, that got sent early!
Music, even when it makes me cry, and usually just the beauty of it does, feeds me, and I'm so masochistic about it, I use it "cathardically" even when it hurts.  "If I could change the world, I will be the sunlight in your universe." Manna ..... you'll heal and need the music again someday, you will....
