For years now I have told visitors to the Capitol that it used to be flat

Two things:
A) I hope your leg is healing faster than expected; clearly the pain killers have not fogged your fertile mind, as it's still working in its own wonderful way. and
2) This essay is TFFW (too funny for words) I especially like the "moron" lines.

Duh – I just read your April 8th post telling us of your accident. Wow. You are lucky to be alive. Bet you could get riled up and write a post about drunk drivers, drivers who are still driving around even though they may be under suspension, and how the system seems to fail us in keeping them off the roads. Hope your leg is mending well.
