Ha! No doubt, Guy!
Especially since half the Santas in stores are seasonal workers -- that is, drunks off the stret making enough for another bottle of ripple.

Clowns

As a youngster, I wasn't afraid of clowns but I never thought that they were in the least bit funny. Sorta like talking mimes.

Putting a toddler on Santa's lap makes for some hilarious photos, because the poor kids are always terrified of that big weird scary looking guy in the weird outfit who booms out HO! HO! HO! at them. They all quickly get over the fear when they figure out that he is the one who gives them toys though.

Pedophiles ought to use that trick instead of the old "Can you help me find my lost kitty?" Not everyone likes cats, but who doesn't like their toys? Whoops! Now we will have to warn the kids about Santa, too! And they were just getting over being frightened of him! Me and my big mouth.

I'll take thunder and lightning over clowns and dolls any day, FS!
Glad you got a kick out of this. Watch the lightning and take care!

Ha! That's hilarious.
Honestly, I'm afraid of thunder and lightning, to an embarrassing degree.  If it starts storming, I'm away from the windows and in a closet if possible. If not, I walk around hunched  like a drive by could break out at any minute.  People laugh at me, kids laugh at me.  My grandfather said to me(last May) regarding my fear of being struck by lightning,  "If you were born to hang, you won't get shot." Wise, but still, not helpful.  take care Strat!

My daughter has collected clown figurines for years. In fact if I were to forget a clown for a Christmas present she would be disappointed. The face on the Quaker oats box is a poor rendition of William Penn. The oat company denies it but the similarity is too close to truly be anything else. This was a marvelous write. I thoroughly enjoyed it!  sam

Yikes, FYS! I would have either decked the clown, or more likely,
would have simply had to go home and change my shorts. Gahhhhhhhh...

I went on retreat once, and a clown stopped in to pay a visit.
The guy at my table sitting beside me was afraid of clowns....he almost broke my hand when the clown touched his face to mark it with her white greasepaint.

What a story! Whether its' real or not doesn't matter, it's a great read. And do you know what the most amazing thing is: I'm in the process of writing a poem about a clown's life. It's called Crazy Willy and I'll post it when it is done. Now isn't that psychic?
