He azur, thanks for your comment and the Turkish words. How did you manage to even spell them correctly without a Turkish keyboard? I am impressed. From tomorrow on I have three weeks in Miami left and I will start polishing my Turkish. Hosh tchakal (have to write phonetically, don't have a Turkish keyboard here.)

Azur, I guess you are off writing on the good project.  You haven't been here for four days.  I hope you are enjoying it a bit.

How I identify with you. We just have to keep writing. I know my Tom Ugly
is a book a good book I'm proud of my work. Will someone publish it? who knows. Like you though, I just have to write.

It's hard to focus and comply with the tedious things connected to become a published author. Sometimes the true spirit of writing gets snowed under, but you have to pull yourself together and never give up hope and determination. Nothing else will get you where you ultimately want to be.

Azur
You are the love, that's where. God Bless you with your struggles my friend.

"Happiness lies in wanting what you have"... and what you have to do.

I try to align what I have to do with what I like. It works part of the time, but that part of the time is what keeps my life bearable*.

Dou yo have a similar process?

*One of mine was giving up on becoming an author. Lucky you! Of course, an earlier one was giving up on becoming a vertebrate paleontologist...

Loved this post
It is crazy that the very things you need to be a writer--intensity, focus, sincerity, etc--are diametrically opposed to the qualities that you need to sell your writing. An agent and a good editor, I think, are the missing components from the freelance writer's ability to focus on the writing of writing.

Hi Azur

thanks for dropping by. I do believe that dreams can come true and it is only a matter of time when it does.

It is the little things that eat you that makes you go that extra mile.

Azur
It is hardly a 'little' thing, Azur, but the most fascinating part is that you will go on to create another and another.  Recently I got a reject from a friendly editor that 'ate' at me.  Apparently my - 'command of the language is good.'  Bully for me, eh?

There is no "but, but, but", Azur. You can do it. Now, do it.

Now I'm going to worry. All the stuff about work, about needing to
refine and distill your intentions and channel your efforts into what really grabs you, so much that another writer instinctively understands.  And then "where is the love?"  You've done it again, Azur -- flipped me.  Good job!

Keep trying. I don't like mainstream publishing.

Never give up on what is in your heart to pursue!

Never give in and follow your heart! I wish I knew where the love was, it seems people are too focused on their immediate needs to share anything.  sam
