You know what always strikes me when I see footage of yet another carnage by men inflicted upon men? The grieving and weeping relatives of the victims of both sides look all JUST THE SAME. Can't mankind grasp the senselessness of war? I guess not.

I agree with that ... my heart breaks for what they go through ...
what they will never stop seeing in their mind's eye. If you have not seen
"Alive Day Memories" hosted by James Gandalfini (sp?), you should. These brave soldiers will wreak havoc on all your emotions - but you will come away in awe, and so, so proud to have them on our side.
You have such a sweet and gentle soul.

Re: Vickip sweetheart....
thank you for your input my love...but the piece is not 'against' the soldiers...but rather against the 'war' dear....it speaks for the grief of our soldiers combating the cruelty of war while being torn apart indignantly from the sight of destruction and bloodbath on deadly ground...i applaud and honor these soldiers along with your son as much as you do among the many dear...true, without them, there would have been no freedom' anywhere in this world...freedom being deprived of the incessant 'war' round the globe...if not for the bravery of these soldiers...and their tears...

As much as I like you and appreciate your passion and
talent, I have to give an apparently unpopular opinion ... to this:
A "war" is what imprisons the world
"Freedom" is what is being deprived of itI say, were it not for our brave soldiers, now and in centuries past, there would be no
freedom. Waving fairy dust and wishing for a free world will not work -
war is the only language a terrorist understands. It's their jealousy and their goal to strip of us of our freedom that we are fighting against. The soldier in your picture volunteered ... and judging from virtually every soldier I have talked to (my daughter is in the Navy), he is proud to be serving and fighting for his country - and he would do it again if asked.

Amazing and moving poem. Sweetie, what a beautiful tribute to our boys. You are truly gifted Mermaid, What is this I hear from little mermaid that you are not feeling well? Please take care of yourself and tell your little mermaid she is beautiful and sweet, she should not put sexy in her picture, but rather adorable. Take care of you jeanie, please

Most appreciate, as you know, my son is a soldier. When I came behind Shae I found her commenting to be well done and it would make you proud and bring tears to your eyes how she help her mom and the love she has for you to do these contacts that are so important to you. My granddaughter is SMART!!!! My picture of Stef did not come so when you are feeling better send me one. I love you, Jen, Shae and my darling Stef.
