As you embark on this journey I would caution you not to get caught up in the ritualism of the Church. My son left the Church because he would not go through a man to commune with Jesus. I felt the Church emphasized the being at church for meeting with Jesus and yet Jesus is within. The sacraments interfere with spiritual baptism. I left the Church on the leading of the Holy Spirit to a faith that embodies catholicism withoout the ritualism. So I am refreshed know that I am catholic in that it is representative of universal christianity. FYI, bow before the altar and genuflect only when the host is present; I bring this to your attention because converts are not told and so many Catholics do it at inappropriate times. I think your commitment to your journey will open many spiritual avenues. I think you would benefit tremendously from stewardship. When I was on the same searching journey I found the rosary to be a most comforting meditative exercise. It is easy to pray the rosary and it is most gratifying to pray it in chapel. I wish you well. I offer my personal thoughts with a grain of salt. It is you journey and you are going to have a great time. sam
