Enjoyed particularly 'morning shower'. To get the 'essence' of Japanese poetry, it is useful read lots of 'classical' poetry (including the sensitively erotic senryu) -once you get a feel for it, also read some in wonderfully modern style, very quirky and fresh -without losing the essence. You are doing fine and it is a good idea to start by practising the 'form'. The more you read, and the more you write, the better it will get!
