My gripe with the TV is it's not being used to its potential.
Imagine if we were only allowed access to say 150 books, and these books were generally targeted toward the lowest common denominator. I'm not saying that people who watch this kind of programming are necessarily in that group, but we settle for what is on - anything that is on.

I have family members who have the television on at least 20 hours per day. It gives me fits that they are incapable of doing anything other than be entertained by the 'idiot box.' sam
