Re: Minivan???

That's what I said!!

I'm really loving the Jeep Liberty at the moment, but my taste in vehicles is ever-changing. Audi makes a fantastic car--I've got my eye on a couple of them as well.

And don't worry about Mark--he knows better than to mess with my car!

Re: You stick to your guns girl

That's my theory Kaboom--kids don't care what I'm driving, as long as they're safe.

And I do tend to over-think things. Especially big decisions like reproduction. In the end, we'll likely end up getting pregnant when we least expect it, and that will probably be for the best--the fastest way to get me to do something, is to take away my options.

I'm so glad you did have kids--J and E are truly amazing! Actually, reading your stories about them is one of the things that made me want one (just one!)...it's the first time I've encountered kids that are really great, instead of the little monsters I usually meet in the stores!

Re: Don't even think about a mini-van. SUV's are the cars for soccer moms.

Pat, I agree!

And I'm going to tell Mark, "Pat said that SUV's are the way to go!"

He'll have to listen if it's coming from the voice of wisdom and experience

Re: wow. I didn't realize that parenting required owning a minivan.

FYS,

I think he has some very fond memories of his mothers mini-van, and just assumed that that was the vehicle of choice for all parents.

Mark has a lot to learn

Minivan???
That's absurd! Even SUVs are! There are some 'cross-overs' though, although a nice car with a hatchback would probably do the trick. I currently have my eyes on an Audi A3, either with the 2 L Turbo, or the 3.2 L engine - a very nice and sporty car! Your only problem would be trying to get Mark keep his hands off it...

You stick to your guns girl
drive what you like the kids can ride ANYTHING you have.  I love reading you, I had kids...because , well of course we wanted to, but I never gave it as much thought as you are.  It is ever so interesting!!  I am actually thankful now that I couldn't get pregnant for three years from starting to try for our second.  It left five years between my kids' and worked out well for me.  I think these things work out, somehow they just do!!

Don't even think about a mini-van. SUV's are the cars for soccer moms.
Maybe you could get a hybrid SUV and be cool AND green.
