The answer to that question would be: None. There is no legal reason for
the United States to be in Iraq.  Deposing a dictator?  Please.  We've supported Hussein more than not.  Humanitarian?  Get off the high horse.  Where were we when Hussein massacred all those people in the early 90's?  Stability?  The U.S. made Iraq unstable, so... Good thought, Glennb...

As long as we are not allowed to ask questions and get answers we are doomed to repeat "planned" mistakes! The question I would want to ask the next President: Why are we in Iraq? There are a list of reasons on the table, I know! But which "one" reason is legal and within the rule of law!
