Very interesting comment Carl, as I do agree with you

This comes from political parties running the nomination process
I made a suggestion nearly a year ago in a letter to The Washington Post that the political parties be replaced by a Nominator College to be followed by a general election voting for one of those nominated.  Without the political parties poisoning the process with character assassination, which now continues after one election to the next, the process of choosing candidates can proceed on a more rational basis and, with the disastrous 12th amendment repealed, elections will produce, as intended by the framers of the Constitution, a President and Vice-President who together represent a clear majority of the people and states.

Re: pupose

Thank you for following my invitation and your response to one of my pieces.  I don't really find much superficial or even religious on that matter on here unless someone is practicing their faith.  What they believe in is one thing and expressing how they feel follows.  Practicing faith, in true worship is a completely different ball game:  Prayer, bible study, church going, tithing, etc.

Simply entertaining others is interesting on my opinion.

Re:

It may sound shallow, but I'm not degrading them as people, I'm degrading their actions.  I never will attack them as a person, I only attack their integrity or lack thereof.

Thanks for your comment though.

There's a difference between degradation and pointing out the obvious
failings and hypocrisies of leaders.  Their job is to lead, not lie, cheat, steal, corrupt, extort, misdirect, ad infinitum, ad nauseum.  As far as Bush is concerned, I couldn't care less if anything nice was said about his presidency and administration.  About the man personally, you can say all the pleasant things you want.  They may actually be true; I've heard and read that he's quite the likeable fellow.  What I find particularly annoying are those who find some fault with Bush (or any other person) simply due to his party affiliation.  If Bush were a Democrat, he'd still be the worst president this country has ever had...

I think it is shallow to degrade others. If you disagree then state the disagreement and leave the unnecessary rhetoric out!  sam

pupose
I seem to be the first to follow your invitation in the blogit cafe. I liked that very much, frank and to the point: come visit me and I will return the favor. So, here I am. As to your question what is your pupose? Mine is simple to entertain as many readers as I can! Do you find that superficial?
