Hang in there, flappergirl!
I'm twice divorced. Both my teenagers are from my first wife and they were always closer to me than to their mother, so living with her and her insecure, controlling boyfriend, was hell for them. I didn't think
I would make it through! They would cry on Sunday's, when it was time for them to go back home, but, I had to be strong for them, even though my heart was being ripped out. I eventually got custody of them and we are all doing fine. During it all, I, like you, second-guessed myself. I know, now, that I did the right thing in leaving their mother...a long story I won't bore you with! To wit...it's perfectly natural to second-guess yourself, especially where your kids are concerned. But, don't make any rash decisions based on that. Take the long view! It hurts like hell!...I know! But, do what you have to do...love your kids and fight like hell for them...and don't give up! I hope I have been of some help! Good luck and take care!
