I hear ya, Ms Taps! I shall tell a tale of the Great City!
Before I do, though, I will recommend to you a book by Mark Helprin called Winter's Tale that is a wonderfully magical romp through the New York City of another age. It is mystical and strange and loving and wondrous... He dedicated his book to his father who loved New York City, and all that love shows!
I happened to pick it up 23 years ago, in Grand Central Station, when I was in New York on a visit, the one in which I truly discovered my own relationship with that city.

Ciel, just this pre-trip post is interesting to me because I have never been to NY. I will be looking forward to any pictures you take and any stories you have to tell about your trip. Actually I wouldn't mind reading some stories about your childhood there. It sounds fascinating.
