Well, le'ssee.....majroj weighs in
1. During his interview with TV newsmen as shown on CNN, the vicitm lied about having two broken ribs; however, this was disproved early on as said in the cover commentary. This proves the victim was lying to the press. Now, what were his immediate and past trangressions causing the police to actualy arrest and book a quadraplegic? (Not done lightly, they are excpensive and they are emotionally charged as we can see).
2. The "officers" need to be tranferred to trash detail for a while then required to attend classes and write an apology they will read in public. Firing's too easy. I'm sure there's a backlot at the airport or the dump that needs patrolling at 2 AM. If being argued with and needled by people gets to them, they needed to be moved out of Booking. Jail needs people with thick skins and maturity. No excuse to do what they did unless they thought he had a weapon. (Judging by the expression non the face of the passing officer in the video and the arrestee's constant vigorous mouth movements, I suspect he was not exercising discretion in his verbal handling of the siutation either...but still NO EXCUSE).
3. I've had three quad clients in lockup and all three were some of the slimiest connivers you ever met. One was arrested because he sold drugs on the phone; he had the other inmates feeding him and carrying him when he was capable of those himself. One was in for DUI (!!) and every time he would "require" the services of a nurse he would cop a feel (no pun intended)..they had me do it and he stopped needing help with simply everyday tasks that he did at home all the time. The third I think was an accessory to drug sales (they used his house), and all we ever heard was how we were going to be sued for not letting him have the little extras he had at home like Vicodin. And, when his cell pod was rousted looking for weapons, lo and behold...he could stand! (So, he doesn't quite count). The reason that all three were bad bad people was not that quads are all bad/bad, but that cops do not arrest or lock up a quad unless they have done something to force the issue or it is mandatory, like drunk driving, resisting a citation , or carrying firearms, or molesting kids or the handicapped.

Katray, there are really absolutely no wrods to cover this situation. Who the hell is in charge anyway??
I want my Mom to be in charge. She would stop this disintegration rapidly. Truly, Americans are being raised by Romulus and Remus' mom, the wolf.

I agree with your insights, Benz. Our national character has been robbed and mutilated from within. What a horrible and mutating extension of brutality...
