BUt, to be fair, he already knows what I think of such "gift". I told him once that a birthday gift intended for me has to be

Oh, I so enjoyed this. I have raised my sons
NEVER to buy their girlfriends (wives one day) a holiday gift to make them something for them. Pick that stuff up when the need arises. I got a rake for my birthday one year, and divorced a short time later. sam
