Daniel,
It only takes one little candle to illuminate the world. That very candle could very well be YOURS!
Just remember: All God's secrets are written in the wind. Listen to the wind.

Re: Re: Dependent Arising and Emptyness of Self
I hope the wind blows my candle over and transforms it into a blazing fire that purifies the world
it may well just blow out, but I'm never going to give up!
We'll have to see
Keep it Real Gerald

Re: Dependent Arising and Emptyness of Self
Vairocana,
Yeah, ahha, now this here kind a ritin,' ya know, the type you used in yore comment, is durn near perxactly the way how I was a trying to say it in the first place, in my own way, a course! Somtimes, ever so be it, I 'vert to my earthly 'ginnings and use the langage I learned back 'en, when I was only jus' a little boy, which I really still am, ya know . But, you said it so good and purty-like!
I thank that me and God are on purty good terms and are buddies, really! I sometimes laugh with Him, but never at Him. He sometimes laughs AT me, though, and then I then know He is jus' a tryin' to teach me somethin,' an' I start to thankin, and soonern I know it, I comista laughing at myself! It' a trip!
Thank you, so much, for your well-placed comments! For the record, and for whatever it's worth to you, I totally agree with all you said.

Dependent Arising and Emptyness of Self
Beginningless beginning to endless end. Every phenomena (event, "thing") arises in dependance on other dependently arisen phenomena. Because no event exists in isolation from the rest of this vast endless mandala of events and all events are continuously conditioned by all other events preceding and co-arising with it, it is said that "no thing" has self existence. All events, from atomic level through molecules, cells, organs, beings, planets, solar systems, galaxies ad infinitum are subject to dependant arising and emptiness of self. Understanding this as what is obviously the case (not merely getting there by means of logic/reason) experience is turned upside down and inside out. Combine this intuitive understanding with space in mind and you enter the direct presence of God.
