Truth As A Casualty Of War
Good post. IMO, truth is always the first casualty of someone's excuses -- magnified into war.joab

Unfortunately, Glennb, I believe that the Bush administration forced the
issue with Iraq for various political, strategic, religious, and economic reasons -- and got what they deserved -- a compleat fiasco and public relations debacle that will resound through history. Those who got screwed in this deal were the troops sent there (especially those who have become physical casualties), the Iraqi civilians that have been killed, and the American public. What gets me with regard to the Iraqi war is that truth was sacrificed months before the war began...

Saul Relative,
I really do not think "what" we were or are now being told mattered or matters! I am settled in the belief that everything possible was done to prevent the destruction of a sovereign nation! George Bush had and has many supporters in the Arab and non-Arab world. I am at peace with my humanity however, a lot of my faith in humanity has been shaken!
