I didn't say inanimate universe

I say the Universe is an organism.

God is the Universe, greater and more encompassing than we can imagine.

Separate God from the Universe and you make an idol.

The liturgy mentions God, "in whom we live and move and have our being."  This describes the Universe and our living in it quite well.

Seems people would like god to be like them.  God is not like them.  We should not attach human attributes to God.  We should just live in God.  Intelligence, form, substance, feelings -- are all just human attributes, and humans have attempted to give God these and others for millenia.

It is time to see God for what God really is.

Yes; to put it MOST mildly!

Re: problem is

No. The problem is, according to the question asked (or, at least I intended it to be that way) in this post is this: Is there or is there not an (Intelligent) God. You may be content to accept the inanimate Universe as your God. I can not. I believe that a Supremely Intelligent God designed and created the Universe as a separate Creative Invention and that He would still exist even if the Universe had never been brought into existence. In other words, God is separate from and much Greater than the Universe, itself. However, Xeno-x, I do respect your opinion.

Thanks for your response!

problem is
science tells us that the present universe arose from the Big Bang, which emanated from The Singularity, which ws the entire universe compressed in a space about the size of this period.

but science cannot tell us exactly.

and science cannot tell us what was before this Singularity.

i probably can be understood that the Universe has always existed in one form or another.

I've got a blog titled GOD AS THE UNIVERSE AS AN ORGANISM.

I think that explains god quite well.

The fact is. . .
it takes a bigger leap of faith to believe in a non-supernatural source.  The odds of the most simplest for of DNA "evolving" from nothing are staggering.
