Yesterday actually ended up quite well after a terrible start. As for being a wonderful father or granddad, you'd have to check with my son and grandchildren about that. I do try to be there for them. It makes me feel pretty wonderful to do what little I can for them.

i hope in all of that frustration you gave yourself a chance to laugh at all the ridiculousness of the situation. glad you all made it through with phones and all.
i'm in south africa, currently experiencing brownouts and blackouts of dismaying proportions...all one can do is appreciate the little things.
