you don't see rights being eroded?
A congress as paranoid as the administration wants it to be follows lockstep behind a gov't that is hell-bent on bypassing basic constitutional rights under the guise of fighting terrorism.
once the floodgates are opened, it will be difficult to stop the momentum. anyone can be labeled as either terrorist or supporting terrorism and their rights annulled.
the bill that the senate passed chips away at our democracy just a little more.

The war on terror is frightening. I can't see the dictator part that you refer to, these folks exercised their free will to vote. I would never have any reason to worry about a wire tap and so it doesn't bother me that the people who seek to harm are going to watched. sam
