Thank you, BrightIrish
I'm touched you were touched.  I hope your Valentine's Day was all you could have wished for.  Mine ended up much better than I expected.

Thanks, mariaki
Even non-poet's get lucky once in a while.  I'm pleased you liked it.  Now if I could only do it more than once every year or two...

Thank you, Kayzzaman
I'm happy you enjoyed the atypical notapoet.  I wasn't sure what kind of reception it would get.

I was in the midst of replying to your comment when my phone line was cut early Tuesday afternoon and left me without an Internet connection.  I apologize for taking so long to get back to you because I thoroughly enjoyed your comment.  Besides the great joy I get from the imaginations of my older grandchildren I've been privileged to coach baseball and basketball to youngsters from age seven to fifteen in the past.  I've always enjoyed the imaginative outlook on life of the younger ones.  It served to remind me of the days when a little mound of sand could be the tallest mountain in the world or two closely spaced trees served as the command center of a starship command deck more wonderful than that of the Starship Enterprise.

Truly love it!
Gotta love the imagination of young boys - I work with kids, and am amazed everyday at how rocks and trees can be anything from spaceships to medieval castles :-)

Thanks, FineYoungSinger
It just sort of hit me and I was hoping it might be passable.  I think the Muse paid me a visit.

Thanks, Yeshuan
It's been much easier for me as a grandfather.  I vicariously enjoyed my son's sense of wonder.  But I understand what you meant by the pressures of reality.  Now that I'm not the principal care giver and protector it's easier for me to see and appreciate the wonder of each new thing in my grandchildren's eyes.

That was great!
There is nothing better than the imagination of a young boy!  I try to go back there from time to time as well.  It is more difficult to do when you been overexposed to reality.
