My usual trek was to whiz by the deserts on my travels, hot as h~ll...but they did have a mysterious feel to them. Something from a world not of my own. People who lived in the desert even seemed to me to be from some other place and time. I do remember the huge stars, their sparkling beauty, being their only sound how many light years away. Awe you've conjured up some memories in me. Lovey post
