I loved this!  I'd love to experience a river like this but you give me the second best thing in reading your great posts like this.  I have seen the Snake River, but I don't think it had alligators around!

The Edisto is an amazing piece of the world -- it's one of three black water rivers, Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto, that flow to the sea to make up the ACE basin, which is a massive marshland/wetland/ pristine estuarial wilderness along the coast.
