Great Post!
I noticed that exchange during the debate. He was playing it safe by not voting 130 times either way. You hit the nail on the head. He planned to do that for his presidential run. I think you may see him fade in the future. The Clinton machine will chew him up eventually. Hitlery vs. McCain coming in November. I will have to hold my nose and vote for the 71 year old Mac.

Interesting. The presidential candidates have to get it together.

I agree that he could and should have had a better response to that question as, surely he knew it was coming.  But, he did do well on his comment about how well Bill Clinton can dance.  I still have quite a picture in my mind of Bill "hoofing it" on the campaign trail for Hilliary.

Corbin Dallas,
Note: I was commenting on your writing that Sen. Obama exercised casting a "no vote" on legislation and your attempt to connect that legislative proccess to his "fitness" to be in the "vetting" proccess for the next President! It is a long reach and I would prefer to hear you folk give your "real" reason for not giving a new and outwardly good American your vote! Mr. Obama seems to be "white male" arrogant and probably won't mind. I know I won't and I am Negro arrogant!

I guess you don't know much about the legislative process, my friend . . .
there are bills that are good, that do good things; however, certain lawmakers will insert some pet item of their own that others can find objectionable.

so if you vote for the bill, your detractors will say that you voted for the objectionable item; or if you vote against it, then the same detractors will say you voted against a good thing.

but if you just vote "present", then. . . oh well, detractors are detractors aren't they?

damned if you do, damned if you don't, just plain damned.  There are folks that will damn you no matter what.

Well....I hate having my blog.........
hijacked with a bunch of drivel that has nothing to do with my post......but rather is  a distraction......an annoyance.....like a gnat frivolously buzzing about one's face.

Corbin Dallas,
How does a person "learn" not? You obviously have resorted to code and innuendo as a way to hide your disdain for your fellow man! And actually it matters not! Bigotry is for the weak and feeble on both sides! You appear to be weak and feeble!

What?
One like you??  Thanks, but no thanks........... I learned how not to be bigoted a long time ago........I also learned to deal with my frustrations in a calmer....more sane approach.

Don't you think it's tacky to call another Blogit member names as you have done in your latest post?  I think you should do the right thing here.....don't you?

Get to substance my friend! You can't change, but you can always become a better human being!

Corbin Dallas,
It is still amazing how you people streech a point to the rediculous! Where in a sane society does a piece of State legislation decide the fate of humankind? You can vote yes/no/present or simply say kiss my where the sun will not shine!

Re:
LOL.....You really liked the "Voteagra" thing....didn't you?

I don't know much about American politics, but you make a good point. I vote 'amber' a lot in my life. Sometimes it's less about offending people and more about simply not caring, not thinking the issue in question is important enough to fight over - especially when my vote opposes the argument in question.

But you're right, a leader needs to be decisive. he doesn't have the luxury of 'no comment' that regular folk have. It's certainly a worrying character trait. But at least give him credit, he's given you a lovely orange piece of voteagra, has he not?
