I could never do that Benzinha

you are sooooooooo brave, but you are right, there comes a time when you really have to draw the line and decide if you will allow the box to take up that much space in your life and thoughts.

p.s. i'm grateful for your comments, they have been very helpful and if i was imagining all that pain then your concern and wisdom have been an incredible help out of my nightmare . thank you

As my mom once told my dad about the History Channel..
"If they show World War Two again I'm gonna scream!".

It is, indeed, best to simplify your life, especially as we get older and
more prone to higher blood pressure, lol.... Enjoy your peace! And thanks so much for visiting! It seems like a long time since we visited each other!

Re: That's very brave of you! I think I'd miss my soaps, Leno's monolog, and

I never watch soaps, especially since they turned into soft porn. I remember when they began, with woman at ironing boards and on the phone, or having coffee with a neighbor....and I could write Jay's monologue, I think and am tired of people making fun of frivolity. I prefer John Stewart's summaries of the week gone by, and the Colbert Report's and then sometimes, when desperate for brain candy, The Soup's.

Wish, wish, wish my dogs were covered with grass and not powdered dust from a dead garden out back.....dirt floats as I walk....ah, for grass. I am going to sod the back garden this Spring.

Thanks for the read and comment.

Re: I watch way too much.
majroj, when I watch, it is CSPAN or CSPAN2, or the History Channel, etc.....but, even those channels have lost their charm.

Re: screen watching, virtual life, I think. It's why I choose real life now

I leave the tv on for the dogs  (Animal Planet) when I leave the house, so that they think that maybe, I'm here somewhere and will be right back out of the bathroom or whatever.....but the screen is about 8" by 8" and so, less entertaining or important.

Dance DVDs, now that sounds like my kind of viewing pleasure.....

That's very brave of you! I think I'd miss my soaps, Leno's monolog, and
of course watching DVDs. Let us know if you miss it at all?
A rose and a smile! From me and Bo =^. .^= the grass covered wonder dog!

I watch way too much.

but I watch better stuff than my family does. So I stay out here and do this instead. (Obviously, Mythbusters is better than Rock of Love, right?).
