I get my inspiration for poems from the love I have for my wife (mostly,) and from listening to country music songs.  For my true stories I tell about my life growing up, and some of the odd things I have had happen to me like when I got thrown through the windshield of my brother's car, and didn't even have to go to the doctor.  That happened one night when he tried to straighten a curve but was unsuccessful.  I was about 20 or 21 years old at that time.

It's not a choice with me. I write because I have to. I write because it is my voice. I write for it is medication and meditation... and God love me, I believe that everything and everyone has a story within!

I work at being led by the Spirit. Some days I am out of sorts because my human nature takes over and I pout because it doen't feel like my work even though I get credit for it. I do enjoy workig with the Spirit.  sam

I get my inspiration from life itself, from watching people, interracting
with them and when things get really slow, I read quotes and then use a quote to inspire a blog...sometimes I free flow write until something comes to me.  Other times I read headlines or pick up a book and it stimulates a new thought or idea.

Leaderspeaker, My inspiration comes from just about everywhere.
There is not a day goes by without me seeing or feeling something which inspires me to write. Thank goodness for pocket pads and sticky notes LOL
