Only as a beginning. Once you put them down, they kind of go out of your head. I usually transfer the ones I don't do to the next day. It's better to have them 'looming' on paper than in your head, no?

Lists are wonderful when you tick an item, but it is putting together a list that is intimidating with all those 'to do" items looming over your head

Lists are so useful for the items that don't need to kept on the mind. I have used them forever myself. sam
