Re: Re: Re:
To me, it seems not too harsh a mistake (I have made mistakes even worse and got through with them, and so does virtually any writer). To me, the most likely explanation is that Morlith himself is very distracted (because of centaur's curse? or just with preocuppation about the curse; so that the prophecy fulfills itself in a way?) - he even forgot about the bloodseeker just before which seems to indicate he's losing composure remarkably. Maybe this small "mistake" gives new ideas for a plot :)

Re: Re:
I take notes as I write, but I'm still bound to miss some inconsistencies.  So, I apologize.  Anyway, I might have an out, though.  The bloodseeker was veiled and then burned badly, so perhaps he was disfigured enough that Morlith didn't recognize him.  If that doesn't work, then, well, uh... those are the perils of stream of consciousness writing on the 'Net.  No chance for rewrites and editing where I would catch a mistake like that.

Re:
Hey... Didn't Morlith remember the bloodseeker from his vision? After all, the face was remarkable...

(Anyway, I've been reading this from the beginning, and this is my first objection so far, so - it's very well written story, I enjoy it.)
