Great piece, I enjoyed the read and insight. For me personal, I write for the want of writing, nothing actually to do with any financial gain. Like you said, it is a mental change/challenge that drives me when I write, it's wanting to freely express my views on various matters and circumstances. If I ever became good enough to make a career out of it, then again like you said it would be a bonus, although deep down, writing would not be a full time career choice of mine, this on-line forum actually suits and meets my writing needs. Worthy post Jaz. Take care.
