Consciousness does not exist in a vacuum, sibananda. Consciousness

exists through causal effects as well.  A person's consciousness is the confluence of biologically predisposed biochemical and physiological factors and well as accumulated experiential knowledge in all its myriad forms.  Why do we think the way we do?  How do we think like we do?  The fact that we think at all... is the effect of a cause...

Great thought-provoking post...

sib
Perhaps it can be both - dependant upon our very own actions or a result of a disconnect from our higher force/God/power.

Well, I am a blind believer at times....I simply believe anything suppose
to happen will happen, even if you be careful.. We can control everything only up to an extend....some times things happen for reasons....In each situation be honest to self, do the best, the rest in god's hand......so blessings could happen.....

A little more, sibananda
Destiny, Human Effort, and Divine Grace, these are the three. Destiny is in space, Human effort is in time, and God exists in the Divine Grace which we can experience.

Hi sibananda
Men obtain desired objects by personal effort. Those wanting in self-effort speak only of destiny. Neither the lazy nor those who depend solely on destiny reach their goal. Therefore, a person should, by all means, persist in self-effort. Causality is, therefore, not wholly independent. That is what I pecieve causality to be. Time and Space are inextricably interwoven, and so is God with all life forms.
