Glad you're all safe. We have smoke alarms in all the rooms and fire extinguishers by the staircases. I burnt some toast once and that was enough to set off an alarm.

Glad you are all safe. Yes, it's a setback but the critical things (loved ones) are safe. Last month in church a man told us he was glad that his house had burned because it had taught him what was really important in life. We learned that lesson five years ago when we lost the insides of the upper story of our home to fire and smoke damage. We lost many things but not the important ones.
