As a "nonbeliever," I would never say anything so coarse, insensitive, and rude, but I most certainly wouldn't say "Your God did not answer your prayer." Hypothetically, if I dared say something, I would say, "There is no God." Many debate and argue about the God thing, but ultimately it's a tremendous waste of time. Everyone needs something to get them through the dark times of their lives. As far as I'm concerned, the big question isn't whether or not God should be that source of strength. It's does your method of coping, your source of strentgh, whatever it is, work? If the answer is yes, I'm satisfied. Regardless of the philosophical/spiritual trappings, regardless of being devout or an atheist, the goal of every person is to live long, eventful lives where the good times outnumber the bad. If a person achieves that goal, how she or she did it is of little significance.

God bless you that was beutiful. Its a hard peel to swallow but faith is rock it is our anker in the storm. My father whom I love more than words can exspress, I lost him last year he was killed in an accident. He was out drunk walking the road on a foggy night and a car hit and killed him. He was a beinge drinker, stay sobber for a year sometimes and then make up for it with about three solid weeks of nothing but drinking. I would always pray for God to keep him safe or take him home, nov. the 24 of last year my dear Lord God in heaven took him home and I believe with all that is in me my dear father has at last found peace. Your poem was beutiful and it reminds me of my own faith God bless
