Good Morning, Offy hon
We don't have really 'ancient' baubles for our tree, but we have nice silver-colored globe made from Bohemian glass that's been around for many years...

Hey dere Sally. 'Tis a pretty tree to be sure. Part of the magic of
Christmas is transforming all of us biggun's and olddun's back a bit. My sister has the ornaments my dad bought back in the 1940's. There's only two left now. Big bulky things,  they are. One red one yellow. Whenever I visit my sister's house at Christmastime, I see those two ornaments and without any certainty, know Christmas is upon us.

Feeling better Offy?
Mine is one I gave to my father on his Dec 19th b'day when I was about 8..I remember buying it for him...it's a snowman with a pipe and it's glittery.  My mother wrapped it up and gave it to me a few years ago.

I do have a favourite ornament Sally...It's one I made myself when I was about twelve years old when I was forced to take occupational therapy.  It's a felt angel in flight holding a star in her hands and smiling cheerfully as she makes her way to spread the joyous news of the arrival of the Holy child.

At least, I like to think that's what she's doing.

So glad the kids had such fun decorating the tree!...

We had a fake tree when I was a kid

I think my brother has it now.  My favorite ornament was a big glass white bulb that my grandparents brought over from Poland in the 50's.  It had a decoration on it but I can't remember what it was.  It broke when I was a teen.  My mom was sad when that happened.

btw..Nice to see you.  Been missing you.
