HA! Remind me...
... never to eat Thai hot in your presence.  That spice makes my nose cry! I'd be excusing myself every bite! (I bring my own Kleenex for the occasions and just discreetly dab the drops before they drop onto the plate.

Seedlings, My table mannners aren't so good when it comes to elbows on
the table, conversing while eating and maybe talking with my fork to make a point (no pun intended) If my mother or father were alive and I did something like you described....I wouldn't have to wait for my dad to knock me out of my chair..Mom would.

Yes, you are correct in that we all have things that unnerve us, and I, quite frankly am afraid that I am turning into one of those people who find something wrong with everyone I  date...like my little sister who has been engaged 100 times (an exageration) but never makes it to the alter because perhaps the man has foot odor or something minute as this. In my younger days such things would escape me. Thanks so much for stopping by

I know each one has their own set of things that are repulsive to them

Indeed, GERMS! I might add that I have this thing about germs too. Not as bad as What's his name on that game show, Harvey Mandale, but I have an issue as I age with germs too. Movie houses are the worst...don't you think? Thanks for stopping by 7stars

Here ye, here ye. There are some of us left who recognize manners and some of us who still require them not only from ourselves but our children and those who we might date and want to kiss later on

I agree....
unless you are sick and cannot help sneezing or whatever at the table you should excuse yourself.

GOOD for you. There is still room for civility. I would have been grounded for a week had I done such at home. I can't abide it.Thank you for posting this.

It's just not the sound, it's the very act of blowing a bodily fluid out at the table...Where are all the mommy's in the world that are supposed to be teaching manners? Thanks for stopping by

I totally agree. If it is a very ill person or a very fragile senior, It's still not pleasant however I understand, but if these two factors are not present well then neither should the nose blowing at the table! Thanks for stopping by I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way

i agree
I think people need to do step aside somewhere and do it. I know sometimes if a person is sick they cannot help it if they don't feel well. Otherwise, it is a bit too much.
