Funny, how most of the starving artists out there today do it for the
show, for their self-indulgence. Most of the great artists, writers, etc., did it for the money and fame. Many did not achieve such in their lifetime. The poor, starving, socially challenged artist - in my opinion - is just another romantic construct. I mean, really, how romantic is a mercenary?
