Donating it is a very fine idea, Geri. I don't ever have that much to give,
however. Mine used to go to keeping the rabbits off our lettuce, until I strung deer fence with anchors to keep the rabbits out.

I'm more than half a centry old and this is the first time I had hair long enough. They will take it if it's not over a certain percent gray.... each donation place has it's own rules for what they will except.

It is after-all only hair to those of us who have it. For those who lose it to chemo therapy or hair loss diseases, it is the reclaiming of their identity. A selfless act. I don't have 11 inches of hair but if I did and they didn't mind that one patch of it always seems to be tangled and that it is threaded with silver strands, they could have it in a heartbeat.
