Oh my gosh!!
I have to send you a picture of my cat Max. He looks exactly like yours, and his favorite spot is the bathtub so he can drink water from the faucet. How weird is that !!!!!!!!!!

LOL! That's a good one! Do you think the mouse has any idea that it might be eaten by the trampoline?

Hi Nautikos!!
Cute lil cat!!  We left our window open in a B&B in Ireland and through the night a cat climbed in and pounced onto the bed and onto Steve's chest!  Was quite hilarious!  Good to see you!!

The kitchen sink is lethal too? Hell, I'll start drinking from the toilet bowl...

Nautikos

Actually, here's a quote from an article in "Health" on the germiest places we'll encounter during an average day:

1. Your kitchen sink
Kitchen sinks are dirtier than most bathrooms. There are typically more than 500,000 bacteria per square inch in the drain alone. Plus your sponge, basin and faucet handles are crawling with bacteria as well.

Bubbles is safe because she's hanging around the faucet itself....cats really are smarter than we humans....shopping cart handles, laundry loads, handbag handles...these are all bad places for lurking microbes, too....this all from a 10/07 article, btw, but is similar to all the research I've seen in the last few years....I started running my sponge through my dishwasher nightly because  of it!  I'm only pointing this out because of your comment that it was public bathrooms...nope, kitchens are in the loop with our own homes...it's scary and we need to be aware...it's not just the cutting boards...it's the sinks!  But, like I said, it may be the only thing that saves us from the Martians....so,  I guess it's "take your pick" risk the aliens are staph!

A lovely creature, indeed. But it's a 'she', a 'he' couldn't possibly be that lovely, as we well know...

Rumored, now that is truly remarkable - cat who likes to take showers - If I tried that with Bubbles, I'd have to shower off my blood...

Re: Actually, I saw a special on one of those news programs....
Krisles, yes, I have read that as well. Somebody did some research, and found public toilets remarkably clean - relative to some other places. And I'm sure yours are absolutely spic and span, and the water perfect for feline consumption...

What a lovely creature Naut. I love the way the water drop is sparkling on his paw...He's so pretty!

Actually, I saw a special on one of those news programs....
and, you would be shocked to know how much cleaner most toilet bowls are than most ....well, that would sound "catty"....but, I agree, it sounds horrid!  They do insist that it be flushed twice....and, actually, I keep the guest bath toilet open for them since it is very rarely used, and keep my lid closed all the time.  Still....sigh.... I wish I could say it was their only slight to good manners.....unfortunately..... And, I'm afraid they wouldn't be very open to learning anything from Bubbles....they're as sure they own the world as she is....that's the problem!

I really don't think that you should give water to a lady ~ how about having a tap with wine or vodka?

When I first saw this I was kinda horrified, it reminds me of home, the
two of my aunts next door, the many cats that would drink directly from the tap, and the cats hairs everywhere, oh yeah, furry mugs of tea, shudder.......

I did of course immediately correct the time travel train of my thought, I know that whomsoever resides in your home of any species would be al ot more refined than that of course, so wasn't surprised that the cat turned out to be so genteel.

Well, Bubbles is far better mannered than mine....I tried a fountain bowl....you know, the kind that is plugged in with a filter and flowing fountain to make sure it is fresh all the time....I read that cats are finicky about their water because they are so prone to urinary tract infections.  So, where do my cats prefer to obtain their water?  The toilet bowls!  The lake cat, Max, used to perch up on the shower curtain rod, and demand his there....but, Bliss and Charm are bowl drinkers....just not the kind I would prefer.....sigh...  And, Charm is a large girl, so it takes quite a feat of acrobatics to get herself balanced just right....  Yes, you should be quite happy that Bubbles is so refined.......
