Come on, guys, Bush is a moron. For that matter, so is Graham, but that's

not the point I wish to make.  Bush is just talking to be talking (pretty much sums up his entire tenure as president -- talking to be talking, saying nothing, doing a lot of really stupid things).  Quite a few Democrats are doing the same thing.  There is no reason to deny Mukasey to position except that he gave an unsatisfactory answer concerning waterboarding?  Big deal.  The Democrats had to find something to question the nomination so as to look like they were being good Democrats (opposing anything Republican). Gotta make it look good. It's just posturing.  Unless they find the neighbor's dog buried in Mukasey's basement, he's going to get the position.  Bush just needs to shut the hell up.  He's not helping anybody -- the country, his party, even himself.

Re: Really?????

Corbin:

Sunday last, I heard  Senator Graham  on Face The Nation. He objected strongly to Mr. Mukasey's  refusal to characterize water boarding as torture. He indicated it violated the Geneva ConventionsWhere, and when, did a change of mind occur?  I was not aware of yesterday's  speech. I thank you very much. Anyhow, Senators Schumer and Feinstein are now reported to be supporting Mukasey's nomination. Go figure.

Really?????
Vocal wich way??? Damn....just like one of those Conservatives....he's been bought off!

This is from the President's speech in South Carolina yesterday......touring with Lindsey......

I'm proud to stand with Senator Lindsey Graham. I've gotten to know him well. He deserves to be reelected to the United States Senate from South Carolina. He's tough, he is smart, he bases his votes on conservative principles. And Senator Graham, I'm proud to call you friend and I believe the people of South Carolina benefit from your leadership as the senator from this important state.

And finally, I appreciate his work on the Judiciary Committee in the United States Senate. I told the people of South Carolina if I became the President of the United States that I would put people on the bench who would strictly interpret the Constitution and not legislate from the bench. I've kept that pledge. I've had no stronger supporter in the United States Senate than Lindsey Graham for putting good judges on the bench. The people of this state have got to understand that when I nominated John Roberts and Sam Alito, there was no better ally than Lindsey Graham to see to it that these two good men were confirmed.

There's going to be another fight on the Senate floor coming next week. The Senate Judiciary Committee has agreed to vote on the nomination of Michael Mukasey to be the Attorney General. And Senator Graham, I appreciate your strong support for Mike Mukasey.
