It was inspired by an item on the TV news which comes on about when

I'm ready to write my daily sonnet. It's a subject I haven't covered before and it just got to me about old people's loneliness, that was the theme of the news report. I must do a cheerful one next!!

Thanks for comments everyone. A poem on bikes - Shelly, I have done at least one sonnet about cycling round Britain, but not about bikes themselves!! I don't ride a bike any more, but maybe I will do again?

Hello my friend. I was in my bicycle shop most of the day. I am giving away 5 bikes this weekend. So, although your sonnet wraps it up in a most apt way, it is still only a state of mind. I've never been able to get a poem about bicycles written, If you take themes, What do you think?  SAM   Have a wonderful weekend!

Is that a hockey game you've posted?
Or just Friday night on the city bus?  It was nicely pixelated to make it abstract art on my screen -- balance to the isolation in the verses... You do good work. No wonder you're on my favorites....

Antonioni

Life can get tough and gritty in the city.  BTW, I haven't forgotten about that recording software (it's called Audacity, maybe you can find it on the web).  It's just that one, my laptop is acting up, slow as molasses, and two, I couldn't figure out how to attack it to an email. and send it.

I'm a regular technological wizard,  I am.  I looked into Skype and it sounds fantastic. I need to buy a microphone anyway for recording, so this'll kill two birds. I'll keep working on getting it to you!  Just so you know why it's taking so long.
