Each party is culpable. Yet we must find a system of financing campaigns that makes it easier for the little man to participate. If you leave a dollar on the table, eventually someone will take it. Maybe someone who is deep down palpably honest.Let's find a way.

Sarooster: It's very interesting and entertaining reading these blog war posts between you and Kooka_Lives. I agree with you that the Democrats haven't changed things or accomplished much. Regarding Iraq, they're afraid of being blamed if the war suddenly turns around for the better. The Vietnam fiasco is still fresh in their minds. Regarding corruption, both Democrats and Republicans are up to their necks in it. The Democrats aren't going to say anything about Weiss because the trial lawyers support Democrats. They support more of these class action lawsuits where the lawyers really win the award and not the people they are supposedly paid to represent. On the other hand, Blackwater and their actions where they are alleged to be killing civilians won't be criticized too severely by the Republicans because many of these security contracting companies support Republican candidates through financial contributions to their campaigns.
What this country truly needs is a moderate, centrist group of individuals who truly care about improving this nation for the common good and who are moral and ethical. Do you know of any people like that?

I would say that such a line is talking about the GOP and is defending them, by claiming they are better morally than the Democrats. It is also piss poor grammar and a little confusing but we can over look that. After all you voted for Bush, so you obviously are a little confused to begin with.
I've also pointed out that the reason as to why the Democrats have been unable to do what they promised is because of the Republicans. You've yet to present anything to go against that. It is clearly the fault of the Republicans that nothing is getting done. You post very clearly attacks the Democrats for what is truly the fault of your little GOP. Things would be much better if the idiots you defend for would grow up and work with the Democrats instead of fighting them just to be fighting them.

You missed the point of my entry entirely!
The Democrats were elected on the platform that things were going to be different. This was going to be a new day for America. Things were going to change. They were going to do it so much differently than the Republicans. Well, they are worse. I did not mention anything about the GOP in my post. I just wanted to point out the Democrats are just as bad at least and worst in all probability. That's all the post was about. I am not defending the Republicans. The post was not about them.

Yes, us Liberals are so horrible. We believe in freedom and the Constitution and progress and all the things that this country stands for. I know you would rather allow big corporations to make the working man into a slave who can barely afford to feed his family, let alone put a roof over their heads and give them some hope for a future. Hell, you guys are doing all you can to sell the country off behind our backs and make sure there is no future for this country.
I don't defend illegal and immoral actions of anyone. Unlike the right, which seems to believe that every single action taken by a conservatives is justifiable, I do not think that of either side.
So no, I do not defend such actions. I care not who makes them. At the same time I am NOT a hypocrite, So I do not try to make a big deal over one side doing what the other side is doing as well. You seem to wallow in being a hypocrite, pointing how evil one side is when it is doing nothing your side is not as guilty of.
BOTH SIDES are equally wrong and so NEITHER SIDE should be defend or attacked over the other.
Although IT IS FACT that right now congress is not able to get any thing done because of the REPUBLICANS doing all they can to make the democrats look bad. ALL one needs to do is look at what keeps happening to see this. How can the democrats deliver on any of their promises when the Republicans have just enough power to hold back certain bills and allow Bush's vetoes to hold? Your side is playing a very sick political game that is hurting this country by keeping needed changes from happening.
If we are right now worse than we were before these last election, it is clearly and obviously the fault of Bush and his group of cry babies who are upset over loosing their stranger hold of power over this country and are lashing out in the most childish of ways.
So you go on and keep defending your group of criminals such as Bush and Chaney, and I will go on not defending any criminals at all.
What I find most hypocritical is that you keep claiming I can't defend the actions of the left, all I can do is attack the right. Is that not 100% exactly what you are doing? I've seen no rational defense of the right come from you here. All I have seen is you try to dodge the simple truth that your guys are equally as bad as the Democrats you attack in your childish ways.
Do you really believe that the Republicans in power are morally superior to the Democrats in power? Because when it comes right down to it, that is what this is all about.

You can't defend what the left does and that includes liberals. I wrote a post about the Democrats, which includes liberals, and how they did wrong. You wrote back to me about how the Republicans were bad. On the left, you can never defend the actions of your bunch. All you can do is complain about the other side. We were promised a great new day by the left. We got worse than we had before. If you want to see how much the left, etc. will get out of line check out what Hillary Clinton does!

SAROOSTER YOU REALLY HAVE NO CLUE DON'T YOU?
I have often tried to explain the simple truth that I am NOT a Democrat, but a liberal. Two completely different things really. The Democrats are way too conservative for me. And right here you present a perfect example of this. Both parties are fairly equally corrupt, which looking at the ideals of each party, such corruption is much more a conservative way of thinking than a liberal.
As for what the Democrats promised and what has been done, most of that is the fault of the Republicans who are doing all they can to make sure that nothing of value gets done. It is not their fault that most of their promises have not been able to be delivered. After all since the Republicans lost big time this last election, their people are acting childish and making sure that the current government will get nothing done just to make the illusion that it is the fault of the Democrats. And of course those like you eat up this illusion and ignore all the facts about who it is that keeps on stopping things from progressing.
As for the corruption bit, you either grow up and understand that due to the power of politics, they are all going to be involved in such things, are you act like a child and pretend that 'your people' are better than everyone else's. To make a big deal because a politicians (From any group) lies, cheats or is involved in some questionable activity is about as ignorant as it gets.
Now I will defend the Democrats more than the Republicans at ever turn, because even though the two groups are practically identical any more and neither one cares the least for doing what is right or best for the country, at least the Democrats are more liberal and I already know that liberal thinking is much better for the country than conservative thinking.

I always give up the argument that the right is sorry and no count. We were PROMISED a new day by the Democrats and we got worse then what we had. No one on the ever defends their positions. All you can do is right some drivel about the Republicans. Stand up for your guys. What they did in this one instance is totally wrong and opposite of what they promised. There are many more I could write about.

Unless you really are so ignorant and foolish to believe that the Republicans do not receives just as questionable of donations. It is part of politics. ALL politicians sell out to whoever is willing to give them the most money. BOTH SIDES are equally guilty of this kind of thing. Only a true fool would claim otherwise.
