Tony, so very true..nature knows no waste, disposing of its own in
its own ways..the image of the leaves waving good-bye is sad but true...

bravo
i disagree with the concept of "nature", but what you're describing (that i would call the wild) is definitely what's going on!

Great sonnet, wonderful words: this is what is happening & you described it perfectly!

Amazing isn't it how nature takes care of itself with absolutely no effort
no matter what mankind does to it..... well done

Autumnanton, I'm enjoying early summer weather here because I think
Canada will freeze me solid. I was cold enough in Halifax one November...me thinks I'm heading for colder.

Hi everyone - thanks a bunch!
I didn't collaborate, Moon, but a few people wrote about similar themes by coincidence! Must be something in the air?

Now when I look at all the leaves out there I sure don't have your ability to describe them so beautifully my friend.....

Stubborn English? Yeah, that's why your country surrendered to the Nazis, so quick...oh, wait, that was the French - God, I HATE those people - LOL!

There must be something in the air. I forget the seasons sometimes - nice, wide-ranging thoughts here. I see you are posting photos too - look what happens while I'm absent. Nice to catch up.

Great!  Those orange leaves can peer in my windows anytime.  But, your whole sonnet was wonderful.  It tells the whole story.
