I think I've cracked it, but I've found an easier site to use the Photobucket now! Stand by for more pix.

I use photobucket all the time.  I upload a large picture from my hard drive and click resize picture to the size I want for my particular post.

You can also emlarge a picture....

when you post it or edit a post.   Click on the picture and you'll see the dot appear in the corners.......you can pull on the dots and increase the size of your picture......but it has to have a high resolution to do this....if not the picture will become grainy or pixelated.

For best results, I download pics to "My pictures" within Blogit and they seem to come in the correct size.  The I use that URL to post them in my blog.

on your upload page, above the uploading pages, you have a line "max image size: 640 x 480" followed by an "option" you can click on. This is where you choose the size of your images. to me the best one is "message board ( 640 x 480 )", but you have many different :)
