Re: I'm sorry I missed your Thanksgiving, as always a little slow!
Thanks, Chyrlann! It was yummy and delightful! In fact, there was too much yumminess - I must have gained ten pounds...

I'm sorry I missed your Thanksgiving, as always a little slow!
I hope it was a yummy & delightful day for you. I did not know people snuffed things up their noses....except the white stuff. I've heard of snuff, but always thought it was chew. Must investigate. Thanks for the notion.

Re: Happy Canada thanksgiving day Naut darlin'.
Thanks, Kabu dear! Why do we always eat too much on these occasions?

What do you mean no competition?
There are easier ways to die from cancer, as was pointed out by a great fictitious classical composer:

Is your nose all rough from taking snuff?
You know it will get rougher;
But PDQ will prove to you
That you needn't suffer
You really need not suffer

My special blend will give no end
Of reason to be jolly;
A recipe that came to me
From Sir Walter Raleigh
The great Sir Walter Raleigh

Smoke PDQs
What can you lose?
What can you lose?

-Peter Schickele (amanuensis of PDQ Bach)

Nautikos
Thus, seamed with many scars
Bursting these prison bars,
Up to its native stars
My soul ascended!
There from the flowing bowl
Deep drinks the warrior's soul,
Skoal! to the Northland! skoal!
—Thus the tale ended.

Dangerous decision.
Cancer of the face is extremely disfiguring and those who chew tobacco or sniff the stuff are no less at risk than smokers. My mother had goiter surgery many years ago and since we were low-income she recovered in a ward that included cancer patients with essential segments of their faces gone. No snuff for this one, discounted or otherwise...
