Thanks, Taps!
I've just gotten home--again!  Driving via Leadville, CO and up north of Rifle, then west down 40 to Salt Lake, then north through Idaho and Montana on 15 to I-90...  Incredible country we live in!  And the geology of the western states is simply breath-taking!

It's essential, in fact, to health and growth, I think, Matie!
Loved your pieces on Eva Peron!

Though they are quite different from each other, Colorado and New Mexico are my two favorite states.  I would rather travel/vacation in one of them than anywhere else I know.  If I did not have a familial attachment to MO, I would be probably living in New Mexico.  I love all the pictures that you have taken.  Looking at them makes me feel at home in places that I have been.

Re: I love Colorado. I try to travel there at least once each year. Have fun.
When my son was applying to colleges, I told him to find one where I would like visiting him.  Colorado fits the bill nicely!

I agree, richinstore--
Staying home keeps one's horizon narrow and limited and full of assumptions about how people are, and what everyone knows.  It is when we travel that we learn that much we once considered absolutely right or wrong,  or natural to human beings is, in fact, cultural and far from absolute!
