That last bit where he speaks to Adriene is so good - you, I as the reader I guess I mean, really feel that it is something so significant that he is telling her this and not talking as little as possible - monosyllabic (sp?) responses. It's like it could be a turning point. I love that it ends with this bit...can't wait to read more :)
