Re: Taps
In my days of being only a Roman Catholic, I felt that freedom too and grew in it. When evil found me too immune to their attacks, they descended on me like a pack of wolves seeking to destroy me physically and spiritually. Injured, there was nothing the good book could do for me except give me hope and the affirmations of the psalms. I Needed solutions and answers to keep me alive and to curb psychic and other attacks. I needed to grow beyond evil to defeat them. What I write here  is the result of that growth. If this is God's earth , I will keep searching creation till I get to the root of things. There are  answers out there and in here that I have not found yet.

I was speaking only for myself, not committing you to the same.   In no way do I feel imprisoned by my beliefs.  On the contrary, "...The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free...free from the law of sin and death...", free from the worries of evil, free from the need to search for answers in places that have no answers, only more questions.

Re: Taps/ Soul_Builder
I appreciate your comment. In my first post, I believe, I stated that my view is that since religions were set up after the demise of the principal actors, look to the holy books, take the tips on how to live and keep on living and searching. I want freedom and I refuse to limit my seeking or to be imprisoned in the organizations that represent religion. Christianity has too many biblical versions, some so different from others. Which one should I handcuff myself to?

Visited a friend today. While teaching, we did so much for those kids. A kindred soul, but he isdoing well. Only kindred souls stand by you! The rest turn on you , if you are weakened. Thanks!

All of those things you write about today, the astrologers, psychics, gurus, karma, etc., etc., are outside of my comfort zone.  I'm glad that the teachings of the Bible are good enough for me and have given me comfort and help throughout my life.

Soul
I'm not so sure I would want a "neutral" existence - the absence of either good or bad karma.  The bad often teaches us or moves us into state of conscious choice and the good, well that's when we can celebrate life and all it's glory.  The two are not in conflict with one another but rather polar compliments.

Re: Antonio......
Those who don't drop out completely are given the chance to do so when they retire. They give up everything including family. Possessions are given to heirs. This is the last of the stages of life. If you can plan your day and live with yourself, it is not that difficult.  Your touch with God that you acquire, is more fulfilling than other pursuits.  For those who find that helping people comes naturally, it would be a hard one to give up! Thanks

Interesting thoughgt about retiring from life so as not to accumulate
any karma at all. Makes sense. Essentially though, that is a neutral lifestyle, and, of course, most people prefer to dream of an overwhelmingly positive lefe, thus making it more likely they will face negatives too. I think it would drive most people mad just doing very little with their lives, even if that is a good idea.

the phrase "slumbering humanity"
I've often thought that people sleepwalk through life--they rise, they eat, they go to work, they watch tv, they eat some more, they have sex with their mate then their body sleeps--their souls completely unnoticed, unloved, uncared for.  I liked this post.  I like this entire blog in fact.  Thanks for posting!
